hi all, could someone please explain the benifits of colour temp settings on the teac plasma, (what setting should I have it on?
ChrisM
Dan,
None of the CT settings on the Teac are the "correct" white value of 6500K, so it's a case of what you prefer. I use the middle setting.

However all this may change due to the diligent work of Robokopp, who has found a way to access some hidden menu features, including a D65 preset!

Check out the "TEAC SD 1060 PLM & serial I/O" thread.

dan76n,
Do a search on colour temperature or 6500 K. Production houses and TV stations have to adjust their monitors to this figure and they make the pictures look right on these monitors.

I have answered this question a number of times. The world standard for DTV is 6500 K. Do not use anything else otherwise the colours will change.
