Does anyone know if the Palsonic 50 Inch plasma PHP 5000 (think thats it) is capable of working DVI with the Samsung 937 DVD player. I got it to work and now it just flashes white and detctes signal then looses it in a matter of seconds and continues to do it. Works fine with Svideo and componet. Tested video and cable and all ok.

Different cable, have you got access to another DVI cable?

DVI can carry the new DVI-D signal or the older VGA style signal via DVI-A.
Have a look in the Plasma's setup where it can select between the different types. My Sharp LCD defaulted to the damn older signal, took me a little while to figure out what the story was. Except I had no picture at all...
