Hi

I have about ten shows that are permanently logged in my toppy, to be recorded on a daily or weekly basis.

Every so often, it doesnt record, and I go into the program schedule and find that every program has jumped forward a month.

For example, last night nothing taped, when i went into the schedule, everything had jumped to start recording in the first week in May.

Anyone else have this problem (or a fix)

Apparently it's to do with Automatic time stamp setting on the Toppy and the broadcasters sending a dodgy signal briefly that stuffs them up. I don't seem to get it in Sydney but most people have changed the Toppy time to Manual in the settings to avoid this.

Good place to do some research for solutions is the forum at www.topfield-australia.com.au

More toppy users there.

As Bob says, the Topfield gets its time from the broadcasters - if these are wrong (as too often occurs), the Toppy decides to move weekly etc timers to what it thinks is the current date - then when the time goes back to the correct date, it doesn't move them back.

Quite why it is so difficult for the networks to broadcast the correct date and time is beyond me - there must be something in their process that is done manually.

To fix, there is a TAP - timer estend - that can automatically fix this problem if it detects that it has occured.

Also, as Bob says using the Toppy on manual time, it won't update to the broadcast time/date, but the clock tends to run slow quite quickly. A fix for this can be found in one of the many options in Progress Bar Keys - if using manual time it is recommended that you install this, and set up a daily timer for time synchronisation.

Cheers
