Hi all, well our old JVC 68cms got aced in an electrical storm. So I'm out looking, and it seems a Sony 32" LCD will fit the bill....well not exactly I'll be a bit over the budget.
However has anyone seen/heard of/bought the Sony KLVMR 32S2.

It seems it's new and Digital Home Entertainment in Melb. have it in stock.
Does anyone have any comments or know of the improvements over the previous model, the KLVL32MRX1.
TIA
Basil

Hi,
Raster and welcome to the Forum, looking for information myself before taking the plunge later in the year, whats disconcerning with the latest Sony's is the RRP, where do they get the figures from, I think they take the Landed cost add their mark up on and then double it.

Hi Basil, thanks for yr reply. Yes where do they get those prices, but they drop quite a bit when the replacement model heaves into sight. I'm looking for some specs. on this Sony KLVMR32S2 All the performance figures would have to be upgrade a bit, especially the refresh rate. I'll post any when I find 'em.

I'm going to get a DVD recorder with the big 80G drive as well...
Panasonic DMRE85H is the front runner at present....about $830.

Cheers.

Hi Basil,
here's an update. Bought a Sharp Aquos 81cm. LCD yesterday. It was $1G cheaper than the Sony, and after checking the web etc. looking at the side by side pix. comparison it was the choice. The Aquos really shone.
Another selling point it's only 82cms. across, as wide as our old 68cm. JVC in it's beaut antique rose wood cabinet, which will go on Ebay now.

Also got a Sony HDR HX900, 160G hardrive, with a DVD+R burner. This is to store and edit to DVD, copious HD travel video tapes I have shot.
Being installed today. Will post report.

Cheers.
