You can get it mowing... You can get it washing the car... You can get it on your toppy... or not....

Hey, do any Toppy owners happen to pick up the Cricket Stats page on Nine? I just got my toppy on Monday, and this is the first chance to try and see if I can get it, and do you think I can find it?

Do I have to do a manual station or something? Any ideas to this poor sod in Brisbane, would be greatly appreciated...

Well, the topfield is brilliant and you'll hopefully love it like most other owners.

Unfortunately, the Nine Sports Active (which I assume is what your talking about) is only available on the one type of set top box. The TEAC-ITV D500 or something.

Sorry about that, but there's plenty of fun things you can do with the Topfield instead!

Leddo means MV1 on channel 91. Not sure if they are providing it ih Brisbane but do a rescan on channel 9 and see if it comes up.

**EDIT: Just did the same and it's not coming up in Sydney so maybe they're not doing it today...?

No! As I have said previously, Nine have modified the tables or something now, all set top boxes used to be able to simply scan MV1, now you have to build up the channel from the PIDs to see it with many set top boxes.
Sydney:
PCR:130
Video:514
Audio:670

Cheers Tony. I'd forgotton about that. If they're going to make it so user-unfriendly, you have to wonder why they bother at all.

As you know I don't much care for cricket anyway. And today we have both cricket and tennis. The only thing worth watching tonight is A Place in France and the 7pm news.

Umm, I am positive that Teac and Nine don't want everyone seeing that channel, it is supposed to be a feature of the Teac interactive box only....

How do you build a channel from the PID's on a Toppy????
Vermin
Menu/installation/channel search.

Select Advanced (rather than Auto or manual)

Select the PID entry from the menu then press "OK"

Use the left or right arrows (vol +/-) to set the PID to zero then enter the required PID with the number pad.

Do this for the other two PIDs, then select save.

Select search from the menu.

Don't forget, if you're trying to bring up MV1, you still need to have selected the channel on which you receive channel Nine for this to work (VHF8 or UHF33 in Sydney, for example)

No, I pinched this pic from the net ages ago... still makes me laugh. I only wish my teeth were that good.

Ditto. Would be nice to know.

If more people contributed to this: http://users.bigpond.net.au/wyp/dtvinfo/ then you could find out from there (although his scans don't have the PCR, which is needed if you want to hear the sound without playing tricks like a 1/2 second pause).
Surely people around the country own digital tv-tuner cards could have made this page great, this guy who owns this page posts regularly on these forums.

A couple more question on this one. I've got the Nine MV1 channel working thanks to the instructions here.

So...

1. When I set up the channel using the Menu\installation\channel search\advanced I selected Channel 8 (Nine UHF I think) and then set the various PID things manually. The channel is now numbered 9 - the same as the normal channel 9. Is there anyway I can set it to another channel number (91 for example)?

2. What's the channel actually meant to do? It seems to have red and green buttons. Should these work or do they only work on the Teac box?

Thanks

Nick

Yeah, the newer firmware has a bug with the LCN, it should be 350+ (or is it 1000+) for these, we are reporting this bug to Topfield.
As for what it does, have a think about it for a minute. The TEAC box will spit stats etc out on a HTML looking page, and of course having video isn't possible with HTML (or not easy) so they instead redirect the box to this MV1 channel when selecting a highlights button. I have never seen it in action, but there are one or two snapshots of interactive on this website I believe.

Hello All

I expected Chanel Nine in Brisbane to use their SD Sport Channel (used for the cricket) during last nights State of Orgin.

Are the channel details still the same?

PCR: 132
Video 514
Audio 670

After a re Scan the toppy found the channel, but there was No Signal being transmitted. Would be great if they transmitted a Test Pattern.

Any help greatly appericated.
