Can any owners of the panasonic TX-76PW60A confirm if the set will accept a 1080i signal from the component out (YPbPr) of a HDSTB? Page 3 of the owners manual http://panasonic.com.au/content/library/files/F000623.pdf states that the set is designed for interlaced signals only so I'm wondering if that rules out a 1080i HD signal as well. I want to complement my HD projector with an SD CRT TV for everyday viewing but don't want to have to have another STB and my current STB does not output HD and SD concurrently but does output two HD signals simultaneously.

Thanks,

Don

No, this TV will only accept normal interlaced 576i (and presumably 480i) I have looked at this TV and it has never ipressed me, the colours do not seem to be natural and 100Hz scan lines are rampant. It is hard to believe its from the same company that made the 200a and 300a sets (even in SD)
