My new Plasma PX42VP4 seems to show skin colors (on faces, lips particuliarly) as reddish and ruddy and not crisp when played through my Panasonic S27 DVD.

I'm using liberty component cables and I swapped to S-Video and the picture looked alot sharper.

Is is a setting on the DVD or the Plasma which must be changed to accept a betetr signal??

Any help greatly appreciated.

I see the S27 only does progressive on NTSC, so you should probably be best using interlaced output until you get things sorted out. Make sure the DVD player is set to output interlaced not progressive. The plasma should detect the interlaced component signal and display correctly, just like S-Video but better (some say).
