dvb for me

Hi I have a choice between these two models 50" LG HD Tuner In-Built Plasma TV DT-50PY10 or DT-62SZ71DB 62inch dlp its really not down to money.I would like to play games on it and get the best possible picture I would also like the screen to be very crisp and be able to handle motion. Any ideas guys?
If we assume that the picture quality is equal between the two choices (it won't be, but personal factors will come into play: your sensitivity to rainbow effect (DLP), your sensitivity to 60Hz refresh (if either use internal 60Hz for 50Hz material), etc), then the DLP is probably the better choice for gaming.
[Warning: Don't judge picture quality of either choice from in-store viewing - unless you can set them up with identical sources and connections and watch some of your own DVDs on both at the same store].
Any phosphor-based system (plasma, CRT, OLED?) will suffer [slightly] from burn-in with frequently repeated fixed graphics. Careful use will almost eliminate this problem - but LCD and DLP have no issue whatsoever with this.
OTOH, any projector (DLP, LCD, CRT) will suffer from [relatively] poor off-centre viewing performance. Plasmas can be viewed from any angle with full colour saturation and clarity (like direct-view CRT TVs).
Total Cost of Ownership: Plasmas now have a half-life of up to 60,000 hours (latest NEC, Pioneer?) whereas projector bulbs have a total life of just hundreds-to-thousands of hours. Bulb cost for 60,000 hours usage could be as much as $500 x 30 = $15,000 (at $500 for each 2,000 hours? I don't know the actual numbers to use here).
Hope this helps!

My choice to buy plasma over LCD or DLP rear projection was influenced by a lot of the problems people seem to be having if you read posts on this forum.
Also costs of lamps, size of the unit and after seeing a couple I really wasn't impressed enough to buy one.
Plasma even with its shortcomings seemed a better idea for me.

I quite liked the look of the LG DLP except when viewing from an angle the image was no longer so good - needed to be sitting at mostly same height and not wander too far to the side so I opted for a plasma as I needed good viewing from side angle as well.
I play games on my plasma (Hitachi 42") I personally use a PS2 but have had a xbox and PC also hooked up. The PS2 with its low resolution doesnt look that good - certainly not as good as it did on my previous smaller CRT tv even when using a PS2 RGB input cable - the xbox was bit better and pc games can look very good with the higher input resolutions and in game filtering options turned on.
