I was wondering if anyone has any discreet Prono codes for the new NEC series plasmas?

I was particularly after the aspect ratio ones for Anamorphic, Stadium etc. In the manual there is a section on External control codes for some of the functions but they dont seem to be in a format for the Pronto.

They are codes such as DFH 80H 60H 0AH 01H 01H CBH which are not similar to Pronto codes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cant help you with the codes but I see you did end up with Nec, are is it all going ?

I must say that I took a lot of time in deciding which plasma to purchase & after talking to many people in stores who really know their stuff & after the advice on this forum I decided on the NEC.

How is it going...well pretty good, great panel & great value for money. Now all I need is them damn discreet codes....

I know these codes aren't for aspect ratio but they are for NEC plasma.

You probably already realise that the NEC codes are hex values?
So the string "DFH 80H 60H 0AH 01H 01H CBH" means "00df 0080 0060 000a 0001 0001 00cb" in Pronto terminology.

However, there seem to be about 76 hex codes needed for each function on the Pronto? rather than just the 6-9 hex codes for each in the NEC manual? Indeed, reading the manual again, I just realised that those 'External Control Codes' are only the ascii codes to send to the RS-232 port to control the panel via a null-modem cable from a HTPC.

Maybe an email to NEC will get the answers you need?

The discreet codes that "Circuit" provided work wonderfully as the
XM3W does not have direct input buttons only the stupid "Video Wall"
buttons! Manc01, If you manage to find the "Screen format" codes please throw them over here.
