PROS-Very good picture quality,compact for the screen size,DVI input.
CONS-Too susceptable to plasma "burn in",stand an optional $419 extra.

Samsung PS-42P4H
PROS-Great value for money,excellent picture quality,DVI input.
CONS-Interline flicker with1080i input.
Price-$6999 Score-4.5
Philips 42PF9966/79
PROS-Best picture quality,Pixel Plus 2 picture processing,HDMI input.
CONS-Picture misalignment with some settings on HDMI input.

The problem mentioned with the NEC being susseptable to burn in is true enough UNTIL you have the run in time under control like the 200 hours then this problem will disspear.
I should not really say its burn in prob but more aimage retention problem in the intital run in period but this aint a problme anymore with mine.
I am dissapointed that they desided to test a out of box unit instead of a run in unit lets face it all units out of boix look like crap and only get better as time goes on
At Mega mart last night i asked the driod why thay did not have the NEC on the floor and asked if they had seen it that answer was yes thay had seen it side by side with the 435 and the comment was they expect to sell heaps of the NEC
