Hi all,

Does anyone have any info on the Matchmaster Media Star STB 04 box which Harvey Norman are selling. "I've got one (the salesman says) and it's really good".

When I've phoned them on two occasions they always refer to this box.

Do we know where it is made. I've tried various net searches and cant really find out any info.

Is it any good, or another item that will have some problems.

I wouldn't buy one. If you open it up, all it is is a PCI card inside, mounted in some nice casing, so if you plan to hook it up to your computer go for it, but otherwise, it's not the best of units for use and longevity. BTW, it has a phillips tuner in it.

Ive got the Media Star DB -700 (Something like that). Bought it from Hardly Normal about 2-3 months ago. Have had no problems at all yet (JINX barlies). but have noticed it runs bloody hot. It is easy to use and searched for all Adelaide channels in about 1 minute.

Let us know if you decide to get one and how it goes.
