I have a KAON ktf-200 stb and have just purchased a Pana 76cm 200a.
What are my options for connecting these together? At the moment i am using plain composite connection. The stb has a scart connector which as I understand it can only output CVBS or RGB (someone please correct me if i am wrong). Now since the Pana 200a only has s-video and component connectors, no RGB that i'm aware of. Am I therefore stuck with composite only?

What have others done in this situation? (apart from buying another stb)

I bought an RGB to component convertor from Hantrex. http://www.australiandigitaltv.com/accessories/rgbcomp.htm. That's probably your only alternative to composite (or a new STB)

That looks like the go. Did you notice an improvement in Picture quality over composite? Is it worth the $119

Yes, given I was connecting to a plasma screen, it was a significant improvement and well worth the money. However I would double check your manual to make sure your Kaon DOES output RGB before you commit, although Hantrex do offer a money-back guarantee! I had a quick look at the Kaon website, and the specs didn't seem to mention RGB.

Yes depending on where you read it does or doesn't. I'm pretty sure it does. In one of the menus there is an option to switch between rgb or composite through the scart. And i think some other people on here have mentioned that it does.
