I am about to purchase a strong 5390. Does anyone know if, once you have recorded to the hard drive, can you then transfer that recording to a video tape?
ie. record on VCR anything that you have previously recorded on the STB hard drive
Thanks

Not sure about the Strong but you can do this on the Topfield PVR and I can't see that it wouldn't work on the Strong - just use the 3 RCA leads from A/V out on the Strong to A/V in on the VCR. If you want to monitor what's going on, use another 3 RCAs from A/V out on the VCR to A/V in on the TV.

Sure can - just as described.
There are two SCART outputs on the Strong - the TV output (which normally goes straight to a display device) and the AUX output (which can also be used as AUX input). Both display the same content, which is exactly what you see on the TV (including on screen display). This allows you to (for example) record open captions to VCR. Make sure you get the aspect ratio right!
