Hi all,

I've found TEAC420 and Nextwave3190 STBs are basically have the same price range.

Which one is better?
Any issues with either of these two ?

Thanking you.

Have nextwave 3100 (previoous model) crystal clear reliable fully featured. As it is not the same model this doesn't confirm anything but - on the two occassions that i have had technical questions i have had very good, very prompt support from the supplier.

As this seems to be also true for TEAC (from the forum postings) it is probably a good idea to decide on one based on features, buy it from a no questions asked/return if not happy supplier. Try it with your display, your aerial etc. If its great no worries. If you have a problem - try the other.

I've always found the Nextwave to be reliable even in marginal areas. Why a TEAC when page after page on this forum are devoted to probs with it?

Nextwave is a brilliant box. If you live in the influence of a SFN it will perform where others turn their toes up. Also, where you live in a difficult area (i.e. ghosting on analogs) the Nextwave will also perform well. Another good box in the same price range is the "Wavelength STR-108". Take your pick of either of these. The Nextwave also has the nice feature that you can arrange your channels on whatever kepad numbers you desire. Can't go past it for a SD box.
