These times don't include pre-match,
Just looking now I see you had Melbourne as 3pm start all along, when I wrote the post I thought it said 2.30 so that's why I pointed it out. Looking through it now, I see that you do in fact have the start times as the main block of coverage only.

I think it's great, a decent game in HD for a change instead of the usual Melbourne/GWS/GC/North/Port dross

G'day laurie,

I see my comments were taken in a different way by doodlefeatures, but indeed I was referring to how many matches they're taking

Collingwood supporters will always have a whinge when their team isnt on TV, I've noticed. Have a look at the AFL's Facebook page when they announce the broadcast guide for the weekend (normally on Fridays) surely they dont expect EVERY game on Free To Air? In this instance, it's a major game for the top spot, and if people were paying attention back in October, they'd know that this game was NEVER going to be on Free To Air, so why complain?

Well, you already said it - they are Collingwood supporters.. they want everything on FTA
If they were to play an U14 team this weekend, their supporters would demand the game on FTA

im a Collingwood supporter and i love it when we are on Foxtel because it will be in HD. and every big team has tight arses who whinge when they play on foxtel it happens for Carlton and Essendon just as bad as the Collingwood fans, than the Geelong and Hawthon fans are a bit better.

i most of the Collingwood fans i know have Foxtel and those that dont either come over to my place or go to the game, the carlton fans i know never shut up when they play a Foxtel game.

Depending where you live Seven can broadcast 5 matches a week! I was under the impression they contracted for only 4 games and 5 to Foxtel like this week for Sydney we get 5 games so  McDigital how this is the case?

Local game "must broadcast rules" (ie Sydney have to get every Swans and Giants game on FTA, Brisbane have to get every Lions and Suns games on FTA) - so if the other games dont clash with their existing "Melbourne" broadcasts, they will broadcast more games than normal

G'day laurie,

DansDans is spot on there, and that's how Regional N.T. could have more than 5 if they can manage it, with matches that clash being on 7mate

The Suns match being one hour delayed to Queenslanders. I'm not sure why this is, but it's in the broadcast guide for this week
