Pick-up is from Ballarat and price $1800 firm, no offers.
As mentioned it's in as new condition and is only being sold as it's a waste for what I'm currently using it for.
Cheers.

Now that I have finally eliminated the ground loop, buying a Theatron was the best addition I have made (well since the HC7000) - the sound stage it produces is exceptional compared to the integrated amps in my Yamaha 3800.

edit misread your post. speakers wiht one set of terminals ?, no you want to be only hooking upto one set of terminals on the amp, zero benefit to hook upto more.
ps what are your speakers ?

No specific speakers Al, Just a general Q. I have some cheapish ones that have only on set of posts, but may be getting another pair soon, which only have one set also. I'm just finding a way to justify using a Theatron in lieu of a Reference. Thought about it a few times but never really asked. Only using two channels would be a waste otherwise.
Sorry if OT, but sort of related to the post.

what you *might* be able to do is "bridge" the amplifier channels to give you access to more power (+ to - of another terminal on the amp and vice versa on the other terminals) ,,.,,, I would want to ask Arthur of Elektra first though as you can destroy an amp if not designed to do this.
p.s. your pre-amp does not need to be bi-amp capable, you can simply use an RCA Y cable/splitter to split the signal to two channels on the power amp. My Yamaha is bi-amp capable and I assumed this meant it had an active crossover for high and low frequencies .... it doesn't, all it does is split the signal internally as the Y cable will do.

Cheers Chopsus. Bridging increases distortion I believe? No matter, probably not worth it anyway just to justify using a HT amp instead of a stereo amp.

Yep, I was considering using a Y-connection. My pre does have two sets of outputs though.
Anyhoo, I've taken this thread OT enough. Cheers again all. Good luck with the sale seatonrocks.
Bump!

G: you did see the Krell 2 channel here?
Nah didn't. But I have an Elektra pre-amp, so been kinda keen on trying out a Reference power amp. Already have a Theatron, but want a separate amp to set up a separate system. No wuz as I have more important things for my $. But I'm easily tempted hehe!

mate! Ever think of Tri Amping with an Elektra Theatron? 7 channels means you could have a Tri amped stereo setup with I channel spare! You would need to build some custom passive crossovers and re engineer your speakers though lol!
