A good deal if you are looking to get Foxtel in the first place and are planning to go to NZ but as always it is a case of buyer beware as Air fares are usually a fraction of the cost of a trip away somewhere by the time you pay accomodation and all the usual incidentals

Wonder if you can get a room over there with Free sky pay TV channels on the telly ??

This is one of the things that annoys me about Foxtel.

They are spending large amount of money on these incentives to get people to subscribe to Foxtel, yet a much better way would be to save the money on these promotions and pass onto the customers reductions in the cost of the packages.

This would not only make Foxtel cheaper but would more than likely entice more people to connect.

They're not spending a fortune on promotion and it would cost alot more to discount the service (cost to Murdoch et al).

Paytv like FTA is underpressure from emerging markets like IPTV and simple internet use. Like one post a read on TVtonight where they gave up on the sports package simply because they didn't find anything they wanted to justify $18/month so that gets spent elsewhere. when genuine iptv competition kicks off then at least people can get some power back but it's a long haul until then. the xbox service is the closest thing to some budget paytv entry point.
