If a religious organisation is so flushed with cash it can afford to produce high quality professionally edited advertising delivered during prime time, should its status regarding exemption to taxation be revised?

That's a good question, but before coming to any personal conclusion I'd want to know a few more facts eg did the production company or TV network donate their resources to the church, or did the church pay full commercial rates for the work it received?

I believe the church in question (think of 2 people in white shirts knocking on your door) is paying for the lot, in an effort to improve their image.

I don't know the answer to that, however the particular sect that attracted my notice with their saturated promotion work was the Mormons.
