They don't look too bad, rather limited options for further calibration though and to me seemed to be a bit too green but that may have been how it was set up. Good price for a 55", but for better quality I'd spend bit more... there's this Sony for $1100. There's quite a few plasma deals around too, but $800 is cheap for 55 inches of panel.

I've just bought one and am trying to get my head around an issue - need a bit more time to fully investigate.

I have it connected to a BeyonWiz DP-P2 and when playing back either DivX or MKV files there's visible picture break-up now and again. It's difficult to describe, but it looks a bit like an interlacing issue. I've tried playing with the 100Hz motion option and that seems to have some effect, but doesn't get rid of it totally.

It seems fine playing back recorded FTA material off the BeyonWiz. I've been using the BeyonWiz on a range of TVs and have never seen this before, so I assume the problem is with the TV and not the PVR, but I need to test a bit further at the weekend.

Did some testing tonight. Playback is fine when reading from the built-in USB, but playing exactly the same Xvid via the BeyonWiz it distorts. Yet if I play the it on the older 47" Soniq it's fine. I've set the PVR to output at 720p for now and it seems OK.

Need to do more testing!

I spoke too soon on that. I've done a fair bit of testing now and it seems to be consistent whether playing back via the BeyonWiz, an Astone media player or a Mac Mini. Doesn't matter whether it's connected via HDMI or component.

Support at Soniq have been very responsive, so far it's still not clear whether it's a generic problem or I've got a dodgy unit.
