I'm going to buy some criterion disks fron the Barnes & Noble sale I'm definetly getting Carlos and Stagecoach but am trying to whittle down the list of others that have caught my eye.
The others that look interesting to me are Paris Texas, 3 Women, Days of Heaven and Kiss me Deadly.  These wold be blind buys and my budget can't stretch to include them all, so if anyoe has them or are fans of the movies I would like to hear your thoughts or if anyone else is putting in an order, What are you getting?  :)

Considering purchasing Videodrome and Blow Out. Among my favourite "modern" masterpieces.

This will be my first ever criterion purchases since they typically are too expensive. Did also consider getting Charlie Chaplins "Modern Times" also.

Anyone previously ordered from Barnes and Noble?

I'd like to complete my first purchase but for some reason they wan't a 07 digit postcode when we obviously use 4 digits.

Did you guys dismiss the international postcode chart and simply put your suburb in 4 digit form?

I've ordered from them before but it was at least 3 years ago that I set up the account so I can't remember how I entered it.

I got Blow Out during the last sale and really liked it definetly a keeper.

I'll be getting around 16-17 discs this time around - pretty much just what has been released the last 3-4 months and a few extras. Still haven't watched all I bought from the last sale.
These sales are definitely the way to collect Criterions though. Unless it is something I'm dying for, like the recent Complete Jean Vigo or The Killing, I don't bother paying regular Amazon prices.

Between Criterion, BFI, Eureka and Kino I don't often buy blu-rays from any other studios anymore!

Just a note the Barnes and Noble 50% off criterion sale has started(bout an hour ago) and at the moment it is also allowing the b2g1f sale(ending today) this means if you pick the right disks you could end up with 3 criterions for about $16.80 each shipped
Note the B2G1F is going to end very very shortly

The crossover with the b2g1f sale has now ended, so that means its just a straight up 50% off plus any coupons you may find floating around the net. Glad I got in quick ended up with 6 disks :)

Watched Criterion's Days Of Heaven yesterday. Excellent PQ (apart from grainy night scenes) and AQ. A deliberately slow and simple film that doesn't let you go.
