Most likely because Pay TV interests have first dibs ..l it is a HBO production I think.

Yep yhnx, downloaded and watched it last night

S02E02 has appeared but the word is it is a very poor copy sourced from Poland HBO of all places ... for mines, I will wait for the proper version next week.

Both SD and HD versions look fine.

The supposed 720p is an avi, passable on a 27inch monitor, only skipped through it quickly so far
but noticeably inferior, still if you just can't wait..............................

Was going to pick up Season 1 on Blu @ BigW today with their 25% off sale but no.......

No stock, apparently, according to the distributor, there won't be any in the country for a few weeks........

After checking out several  BigW stores today to no avail -(plenty of dvd copies)   I finally hit the jackpot and found two bluray copies at the last store i visited.
Their online website has it available and it was reduced today.
i quickly demo'ed the first episode and all i can say is  wow -
The picture quality is outstanding, clarity and depth are amazing, can't wait to start watching on the projector,
Why anyone would consider the dvd version is beyond me

Am working through the discs now & have to comment on a couple of things. The good - brilliant video & audio & lots of great extras. The bad - BD menu mastering is common on all discs and so points to extras & episodes that need to be loaded from different discs. Given that this is by far the slowest loading BD title I've got the changing of discs is a real PITA. How hard would it have been to have personalised menus for each disc rather than copying the same screens & navigation? Another minoir quibble is that on my player the audio commentary extra does not select the correct audio track. I have the manually select it. But that being said it's such a great package that all is forgiven HBO.

Season two seems to be available for preorder $45. Seems to be available locally pre xmas whereas region A is late feb 2013. Not sure if there any differences between Region A & B blu-ray as the extras seem the same. The version on Amazon.com includes DVD/digital copy.

Will pick up S2 as soon as it hits as have avoided watching it so far - though my wife has watched it online and on Foxtel and keeps telling me bits of what happened.

We downloaded Season Two,  Six months ago. and await the start of Season Three, if there is to be a return, Surely "Mother of Dragons" is not finished
with the world she lives in.

On the question of where these episodes are being transmitted from, The majority emanate from SKY UK.

The same goes for "Sons of Anarchy"  While the like of Sanity and JB promote Season Two being available, The reality is we are we are coming to the end
of  Season Five.

Same here, I have had season 2 since early in the year but have not watch it. will grab the blu ray - and watch in on the big screen
