I attempted to watch Pulp Fiction last night on FTA... about five minutes in I had to switch it off and in fact went and watched a film on BD instead.

Not only was the picture (badly) cropped, the res. was completely gone and the whole thing was simply a visual mess on the screen. There is no point watching movies on FTA anymore, clearly the days of decent HD up-converts are well gone.

Pulp is one of the best films made in the 90's IMO, and deserves to be treated with some respect. Up yours Seven...

I thought of doing the same thing, but decided to go for the newest Rocky film instead on BD... I'm waiting for the bluray release which hopefully will be worth the wait.

I agree when actually talking about crap films...

I don't think many people would agree with you there though in relation to Pulp Fiction being crap... some though. It certainly won many acclaims. :P  My old man is with you there, he hated it. Each to their own though and all that.  ;)

Yep just one of those movies that made me cringe.. not funny, bad acting (John Travolta? Really?)

But anyway back on topic, I think this is just another reason why anyone serious about home theatre doesn't watch movies on commercial FTA.
