If i take a crap and write Weyland-Yutani on it, or make it horseshoe shaped, does that make it an alien prequel, or is it still a steaming pile of crap with aliens stuff written into it?

Don't get me wrong, i do think it COULD be a good movie, but why put aliens stuff into it if it has NOTHING to do with the aliens series (other than of course the Weyland-Yutani/horseshoe shaped ship) THAT is what has me pissed off.
The movie is its own thing, leave Alien/s the **** alone and stop trying to create hype by using Alien/s.
The fact that they have had to do this has made my enthusiasm for the movie PLUMMET. If they had left the alien "dna" out of it, then yeah, I would probably still be very interested in the movie.

Hey why all the stress, just enjoy it for what it is, a movie based on imagination (as are 98.3% of movies)?

as has been suggested it's something made to entertain, no one's trying to rewrite the tax system, sit back relax and enjoy but don't prejudge because of media hype, personally looking forward to it and see it as a standalone movie and will revfiew any connections if and when they're made in the movie..............

There's a lot of buzzing that the movie has an Illuminati based theme ..... whilst this guy's a crank, it will be interesting to see if any of this is true (note the video was uploaded on 30 March .... it might be an April fools joke).

They certainly are doing a great job at creating a back story!

Just think what this approach could do for product placement once the Marketers get wind of it ... whilst placement within a movie has effectively been banned they could do whatever they like via the web.
