The player has the region free mod as well. The Analog & Digital audio quality out of this player with the terra firma clock is superb.
The player is in mint condition and i had the clock upgrade done by Joe 2 months ago.
It comes with the warranty ,accesories and box.
I am looking for $1300.
Anyone that is interested please send me a PM.
Thank You ,

That's a bargain think they retail for nearly 3k. I can vouch for the quality of this unit both AQ and PQ are outstanding.

BDP-93 USD$499, freight USD$100 (approx), region free mod chip $85 = around AUD$700ish for a brand new unit.
Edit:
Fair enough. I missed the JLTI bit... $700ish + $1,650 = $2,350, so $1,300 looks like good value.
Humble pie is delicious first thing in the morning!

Do you have some info on the region free mod for the BDP-93. I have not come across anything yet as the player has not been released for sale yet. I would be interested in anything you have.
Dave.

Unfortunately not. Like many here, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for it. I'm just making the assumption that they'll do something based on past performance. They'd lose a lot of fanatical customers if not!

thanks cwt, I still have my bdp 51, but bought a bdp-83 earlier this year and have always planned to get Joe to upgrade it one of these days, so I am tempted, but then I will end up with 3 players which the MOF won't understand even though I am sure someone would pickup a standard Oppo since they have stopped producing them

Just to let you all know that I’m back in the game again!
SnOrk got seller’s remorse and decided he couldn’t bear to part with this puppy – which I guess is his prerogative and will teach me for being so bloody jubilant . Two adages come to mind … Let the buyer beware and If it’s too good to be true it definitely is!
Unfortunately I can’t restart the game at the same point I left off knowing now what I do about what’s possible.
So … that means I’m still looking for an OPPO 83 (or better still an 83SE) with TerraFirma mod.

Bugger! There's a couple of units on ebay but without the Jlti mod.
