these are relics of the 80s - long in the tooth - with mullets and cliched characters (oohhhhh South Africans....... and Joe Pesci !!!) NOthanks. We've moved on !
I don't I could sit watching a Mel Gibson movie anymore without expecting him to rant and rave
*** I'm wondering if THE BEAVER - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1321860/ will ever get released ??? ***

It's still a lot of fun (senseless - yes) and my better half and I often use lines like "It's a goddam krugerrand" with much delight

And it's not a blight on the 80's, but half of the films just haven't aged well. The good half have though, some films are as good as they were back then. These aren't among them IMO unfortunately.
An yeah, haven't they been out for ages already? I thought so too...

Lol..we had a South African guy in the store the other day and asked him to say..."Diplomatic immunity" he did cos he had a sense of humour !
Sure the shows are corny and hackneyed BUT..look at the Expendables..is that any better how many years on ? Some people need to just switch
off and enjoy the ride. It's like the film critics who rubbish everything that isn't "art"..they expect the next Gone with the wind, but frankly I don't give a damn lol

I held back from earlier releases, and these will replace my DVDs. I remember the boxset I got from Big W a while back and these will be something I wll enjoy.

Chill out champ, not everybody likes the same stuff. The OP is just giving the readers some info, just because they don't appeal to you, dosn't mean you have to kick the **** out of them!
What movies do you like? I bet a lot of them are rubbish. (IMO!)

I really wanted to like the 2nd movie, but because of the scene where he kills the girl, its relegated the movie to 4th, followed by the 3rd episode then the 1st and so it makes the 4th show my favorite, and the most outrageous chase scene was in the 4th crashing through the building and back onto the highway... BTW Jet Li kicks ass!
The flame thrower was also unbelievable - where do they think up stuff like that.
So sure its no Oscar material as I said, and there are better actors, but if you don't like it, start a thread on Schindler's List or something!

'Sad' to see Glover lisp his way thru his most recent films (most notably in SHOOTER). One could only 'imagine' how the LW films would have been had that 'lisp' been predominate in them
(yes aware of what he had done)
