Np.  Also the NA7004 just advised me a firmware update was available.  11 minutes later and its update, though it would be nice to know like Denon does with its firmware updates what was fixed/addressed and what features if any have been added.

Enjoying playing with the Media Server side of things.  So much for the Squeezebox, though its IPeng app and Sonos do make nice IPad apps.  So hopefully Marantz will follow suit.

All great!... :D No need to be sorry about as it showed everything I need to know.. Did you use the analog outs or via a DAC?

Just got the new version of the WizzApp from the Apple store (its free) and just have contolled the NA7004 from my Iphone.  Cool stuff.  It display the CD Cover artwork for the music its playing from my server (Im using Twonky) and gives easy controll over the NA7004.

There are a few things that could be added to the app, I just have to find where I can send some suggestions to :)

Anyway enjoying the unit more and more.

The HDAM modules seem to take a long time to warm up and run in.. Imagine the fun you have in a few months time when the tones become more natural.. :)

How's the heat like? No issues? And no big major bugs???  That's quite a surprise TBH.. :ninja:

What heat :)  No bugs so far.  Just would like the WizzApp developed more.  Otherwise a pretty solid product.

WhatHiFi Review Up-

http://www.whathifi....Marantz-NA7004/

Some more thoughts that I have from using it over the past few weeks.

- I am leaning back to FM from DAB+.  DAB+ is good for stations that are on the AM dial, however with the low bitrate on most stations FM is the go here.   That and the FM tuner in the Marantz is truely superb.
- M-DAX is totally useless IMO.  The best of the four settings it offers is OFF.  It just compresses the sound to much for low bitrate sources.
- From the DAB+ Info button I can see it uses the Frontier Silicon's Venice 7 which from reading around seems to offer the best reception out of all the FS chips.
- Still loving the unit :)

Some info from around the traps-

- In operation the unit uses 17 to 22 watts.  In Standby mode, with no standby network 0.4 watts (which is without the unit keeping a constant connection with your home network), and with the standby network engaged is about 5.4 watts.

AirPlay is coming to Marantz ! With this new feature, and your Wi-Fi enabled network, you can literally “give your home a soundtrack” and stream music directly from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch or from your iTunes library on your PC or Mac. A feature upgrade will be available for use with all of the new Marantz IP-based products, including the SR7005 A/V Receiver, AV7005 A/V Preamplifier, NA7004 Network Audio Player.

If you already own an AirPlay compatible AV component from Marantz, you can upgrade to enjoy this exclusive technology for $49.99 using your device’s "Feature Upgrade."

It's basically functionality of little appletv built in the denon and marantz units.

Means can wirelessly stream off any apple products eg iPhone iPad, Mac book etc.
Its A deal apple has done with denon & marantz. Personally prefer the little appletv standalone with it's interface, and that can run to separate dac etc. But can see for many of benefit with unit built in.

so it's sort of like windows play to feature? I don't get how the wireless stream part.. does it means the phone will be on wifi and the player on wired?

Saw one in action today.... the VFD is beautiful..... But only tried the USB and Internet radio.. Don't have the chance to try the other features.... :( IInternet radio wise it totally beats the Denon 3808 hands down, UI wise, very easy and intuitive to use.

I departed "Windows world" about a year ago so wouldnt have a clue re windows play. have a peep aroud the web re appletv. and have a read up. its wireless streaming incase of the new appletv and off laptops ipads and ipods/iphones and the like. and with the full appletv interface. which is excellent I must say :)

But the NA7004 don't have wifi.. so it's wireless to a wired connection, seems kindda weird?

At singapore atm, so can't resist and got myself this player... the build is actually not bad, and the VFD looks even prettier.. LoL... only did a quick test, network update and quick play off my mobile phone... hopefully it will surive the trip back to perth, and if it still works, I'd be able to give it a proper spin...

Hiya Spero D. Did you get last.fm working?

Or was that disabled for Australia somehow?

If you go into menu->other->DAB->DRC... What's the setting? For me the default is 1... Change it to off and see if it's any better?

For me I couldn't really pick out any difference..

Last FM works in Oz bit only if you have a paid premium account. $3 USD a month.

Just a quick update.  Did the paid upgrade for airplay on my NA7004 and its working great.  Also swapped from analogue outs over to the Optical to my amp and have found the sound to be better sounding across all the platforms.
