G'day,

I'm still trying to work out the advertising of the Brownlow, compared to what's actually being scheduled

Basically, the event is LIVE for those in Victoria, Tasmania and Regional N.T. on Ten, Southern Cross Ten, Southern Cross and One HD

A.C.T, N.S.W. and Qld get it LIVE from 7:30pm on One HD Only, from 11:45pm on Ten and Southern Cross Ten

Darwin, S.A. and W.A. get it at 7:30pm DELAYED on Ten, One HD and WIN W.A.

I thought this was supposed to be LIVE across the nation on One HD

As always McD, an excellent thread throughout the year.

Sure, we've had a few idiots pop in every now and then with the "why bother, just look at so and so website" but in the end we ignore those idiots and enjoy the work that you do for us.

Ill have a beer for the work you've done this year, and look forward to next year (when I wont have Fox anymore, so i will have to rely on FTA only!)

G'day DansDans,

Thanks for that, It'll be interesting next year, with a new club, But I doubt the timeslots will change until 2012 when the broadcasting rights deal will be under a new agreement.

I suspect we wont be seeing much Friday Night Football Live next year, and with the new agreement hopefully signed at the end of this year or start of next year, that's when we'll know who the broadcaster is that has to go Live by all reports

Thanks to the readers, It's always interesting to see what reactions people have to television times, and W.A. people really need a better deal

The new anti-siphoning laws are going to be great for people in WA basically if they don't show it live they must allow pay tv to get it.  They will also be allowed to show it on their digital multi channels. As you said i doubt this will change until the next agreement is signed though.  Channel 7 will want to delay Friday night football for as long as they can.

G'day vasili,

Last time Channel 10 had it, and it was shown at midday the next day

There's something about the timezone difrerence that just doesn't make it possible for broadcasters to put it on LIVE when it's played in Ireland, unless they make it a day match over there

As for when it's in Australia, a night match here is something like 9am in Ireland on the same day, so no problems.

I think that is something they need to work out

G'day vasili,

You'd be pretty correct on your assumption, as I seem to remember when Eddie McGuire was calling the dog on the park, that definately wasn't delayed, but it was during the day in Ireland too, so a better time possibly

There's also another late night replay on 7TWO like last week, though this time from around 12.20.
