Glossary
SD: Standard Definition. (Usually 704x576i or 720x576i)
HD: High Definition.
LCN: Logical Channel Number, the channel numbers that appear on your STB, computer tuner cards may ignore LCNs and assign channel numbers as they wish.
576i: A resolution (generally) of 704x576 or 720x576 interlaced.
576p: A resolution of 720x576 progressive scan.
720p: A resolution of 1280x720 progressive scan.
1080i: A resolution of 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 interlaced. (N.B. Most [properly converted] film-based content is shown in 1080PsF [progressive segmented frame] on the 1080i stream and can be deinterlaced into 1080p on compatible TV sets.)

Thanks for a useful list. I am now trying to decide which ones to mark as skipped in my STB. Many of these channels appear to be broadcasting the same material, eg TEN, TEN 1, TEN 2, etc. But maybe they don't do this all the time? Is there a definitive list of the channels with distinctly different content?

I've updated the list adding screenshots to many of the channels, replaced 'EPG' with 'VPG', added LCN 77 (7 VPG) & 46 (ACC).

• WIN appears to be running the HD loop in Cairns now (see http://www.dtvforum....wtopic=9167&hl=)
  
• The new ABC channel should get a mention, even if it isn't starting until next year.

I'd add those, but checked just then, and no edit privs right now. Need to modify for D44 as well so we'll see when Coral adds this to the 'edit exclusion zone' for a lack of a better phrase.

Hi Bacco, just a few observations
047 is currently the same as 40/44 however on a different encoder and has an APID.
100 is also the TEN EPG (VPG) rather than their normal SD service.
I've never received SBS Digital 3 or TEN Digital 4.

nbn digital channel 8,
nbn hd channel 80 ,
nbn digital 2 channel 81 (used for multi-view of election)

so which one is nbn mv1

'i'm not sure but they are normally oppersites of channel 9"

I put 8x cause I didn't have any info on NBN and I just had to guess it, 'NBN Digital 2' is what I meant by 'NBN MV1' and I'll change it to the correct name & LCN now.

We do, if you have TransACT's fibre service + TransTV (which I don't. I have their copper service).

Anyway, why do we need to watch or listen to parliament.

How can anyone have any captures of the ABC VPG when it isn't going to air until MID-NEXT YEAR.

And I used to have captures of the extra camera angle channel (okay it was LCN 31 with a different picture/audio feed) that the soccer had but I lost them in a hard drive crash.

Since last Saturday, channel 7 has vanished from my Thomson DTI500AU STB, and it's showing channel 71 twice. Anyone else seeing this glitch?
