Glossary
SD: Standard Definition. (Usually 704x576i or 720x576i)
HD: High Definition.
LCN: Logical Channel Number, the channel numbers that appear on your STB, computer tuner cards may ignore LCNs and assign channel numbers as they wish.
576i: A resolution (generally) of 704x576 or 720x576 interlaced.
576p: A resolution of 720x576 progressive scan.
720p: A resolution of 1280x720 progressive scan.
1080i: A resolution of 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 interlaced. (N.B. Most [properly converted] film-based content is shown in 1080PsF [progressive segmented frame] on the 1080i stream and can be deinterlaced into 1080p on compatible TV sets.)
