Anybody actually received the Mystar HD in the post yet. I have ordered mine but still no sign of it.  :(
Apparently Austar did their official launch of HD yesterday, so a rep from Austar was saying last night, so they will prob start the shipments on Monday, not before, and even then I wouldnt hold my breath, the installers will have them first, and new customers are much more important, not us subs who have suffered for years. I had a good laugh last night, I have one their multichannel viewing panel thingy, where they see what u r watching the interactive features u use etc, well aparently mine hasn't been phoning home, and as soon as I said I have a mystar well the poor girl said the box is very buggy, and really they shouldnt be used with the fact gathering equip and in fact there was to be an upgrade on the 19th to fix it, I am hoping I might have a HD by then.........rofl

your right, the techs do have them. I have my order already and I must say the boxes look the part. Nice and sleek with plenty of connection methods. And no damn led display to stop working OR reset button that kids like to play with ! Can't fire one up as the hits won;t be sent out until after the 15th so lets hope they work as nice as they look.

Does anyone know how this Mystar will go if you can pick up a lot of TV channels?

On my Beyonwiz STB I can get Prime Lismore, Prime Gold Coast, 7 Gold Coast, SC Ten Lismore, SC Ten GC, Ten GC, NBN Lismore, NBN GC, 9 GC etc etc

I would hate having to pay full price for this thing if Austar can't manage to get the thing to receive all channels available on a regular STB.

The FTA channels you can see is determined by Austar.  You will not be able to see transmissions that are outside your nominated area, or if you convince Austar to change your boxes 'home' area you won't see transmissions for your area.  Stick with the FTA box if you want the selection you currently have.

Is this a sign of things to come ? I find it hillarious that the HD box hasn't even been released yet and yet there are over 70 posts replying to the topic Mystar HD - Issues and comments. None of you people have one yet how can you post issues and comments on it ?

Can't wait to see what happens to this thread when you guys ACTUALLY have something important to say !

lol.....very funny!

Pleased to see comments from you both as well.
There may not be a reason for 'issues' yet, although some are concerned about being promised a new HD service from the 15TH and not receiving the hardware to receive it. There are plenty of reasons for people to add comments, as you have, in our land of free speech.
I'm sure everyone is hoping that this Austar box doesn't prompt the number of reported issues as the last box. I too can't wait to see what happens in this thread sqibby.

Just called to ask where my STB is, and was told that they won't even be dispatched until after the 15th.  At least they confirmed my order had been received.

Just received an email acknowledging receipt of my order for Mystar HD placed about 10 days ago - better late than never.  Invited me to enter the draw for a free TV.  It said you get one entry as an Austar customer and one more if you order HD before 13 December. It didn't tell you how to make your second entry if you've already ordered HD.  But there appeared to be no reason not to enter more than once by just clicking on the link in th email.

Got the same email as the rest ( I guess).  Does everyone's say:  "Get ready for MyStar HD to arrive We’ll be in touch soon to inform you when your MyStar HD is ready..."

I was told by Austar that they would ship from Sydney on the 15th.  Of course the 15th is a Sunday, so who knows.  I hope to have it by Tuesday or Wednesday.

I was told that they were coming in to work on the 15th, even though a Sunday, to process the orders, which would be shipped over the next 2 days, 1.e. by the 17th.

LOL. There is absolutely no reason to drag workers in on a Sunday and pay them extra as nothing magical is happening on the 15th anyway other than the remote command to adjust channel numbers on boxes. I have no idea why you would think that order processing needs to wait till the 15th.

He didnt mean booting up the new channels etc, he meant workers were going in to process orders for the HD box to be sent out, I hope they do and they get them sent asap, I want my hd channels.

Funny about that. After complaining for months about Free To Air channels vanishing after being tuned in they sent a tech out today to have a look.
He put a new box in and it wouldn't work so he had to go back into town to get another new one.
So far it works properly but lets see if it continues to.

I don't know why people like aeon pick on drp saying he posts a lot,I never knew of this site till we upgraded to mys**t and have
ongoing problems with the box.1 box was replace due to the display being faulty another as it would not lock on to free to air channels
that ones replacement was immediately replaced when the installer could not get it to work straight out of the box so had another
replacement. This was really fast for a few hours then required a reset and since then has been very slow despite being reformated
twice since then.I really hope the new box works well as that is all I want.

Again, that's nothing that couldn't have been done over the past 2 weeks during week days as the orders came in, no reason to pay extra for employees to come in on a Sunday.

That is so true, and they could have shipped them out before they started the HD channels, but this is Austar and they never do things the easy or simple way, they have to do it the hardest and most expensive way known to justify delays or problems that occur. Yes we (Austar) know that you have not yet received your box to see the new HD channels, we have had staff working weekends trying to rectify the problem, we apologise for any inconvenience, see I know what they will even say on Monday to people saying they cant view the new HD channels, lol

Glad I'm not getting it, i'd be so pissed if I was and didn't get my HD box for like 2 weeks after it started.
A friend of mine isn't getting his til the 27th and it is being posted not a installer doing it and he ordered it weeks ago.
I bet about 8mths down the track when all the hype is gone they will be doing $0 installs and wave the $5 HD channels fee for 3 mths etc.

Roll on Mystar HD ...  Should be the best PVR around for regional areas.  I bought a Tivo earlier in the year and it worked fine as a pvr for FTA but its much vaunted networking capabilities were like zero. And how long can you watch 2 hour adds on FTA for. So I flogged the Tivo 3 months ago and came back to Mystar. And now I am waiting for my mail out Mystar HD. Would have liked to have it on the 15th but if it takes up to 10 days. I can wait. :D

Geez, you're a real optimist. I guess you can look forward to beta testing the product for a few years.

I think there are a few on here that are optimistic, and why not, we have had Mystar, and I do not believe anything could be worse than that, hell even a vcr ) would be better than this box, so the HD version must be better and for that reason I too am looking forward to receiving it. As was quoted on another site, the roll out is ready to go and many should start to get them by Tues or Wed this week, so let the games begin.

The best PVR.......no sorry mate i had 3 mystars and everyone one was crap, went out and got some Beyonwiz DP-P2 input the Austar to it and record, Pause, Rewind, Record a FTA and Austar at the same time with watching another FTA or something i recorded before without any issues at all. Best move i ever made....oh and the PQ is great now.
