Actually it is relevant to the people you were pointing out to that it has been released and will now want to buy it. :hmm:

Just watching 'cowboys and Aliens', VERY good AQ and PQ, one of the best I've heard.

Noticed in the settings it has this 'D-box' thing, anyone here have one of those?

The Man From Snowy River
My Amazon order of this was sent on Monday.
There is still no artwork on Amazon's item page.
Is anybody else looking forward to this?
There is a hint on bluray.com forums that the transfer is OK, but I am really hoping for something excellent.
Thoughts?

I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries !

You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called "Arthur King," you and all your silly English K-nig-hts.

I can'y wait to see this on Blu-ray! :)

Woman: Well, how did you become King, then?

Arthur: The Lady of the Lake,... her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king!

Dennis: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Arthur: Be quiet!

Dennis: Well, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Arthur: Shut up!

Dennis: I mean, if I went 'round saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Champagne comedy ladies & gentlemen, champagne!

Had a quick (2min) peek at this and the transfer looks very nice to me. Lots of natural grain, good detail and natural colour. Unfortunately only a front channel soundtrack.
Will post a review (for those interested) if we get a chance to watch it this week.

A lot of upcoming releases - mostly catalog titles:
John Carter (Amazon has a $5 voucher on the 3D version)
Outland
Red Tails
Chinatown
Chariots of Fire

And too many others to list - good to see the drought break.

Hey 709er,

So what did you think? There is 1 user review on Bluray.com which seems to be fairly positive on PQ.

Damn shame they've stuffed the audio and extras... I wonder why the 5.1 track from the DVD release wasn't used?

Cheers,

JSmith :ninja:
