Ok I am just too impatient to wait and wondering how accurate is the estimate for delivery from Amazon UK? Order shipped on the 15th and is estimate for delivery on 1st july. I am hoping to get it before this weekend or should i expect after the estimated date?

generally if they used royal post, some have recd in 3 days but majority is 7 days, deutshe post is longer, im at 11 days on an order and no delivery yet

It's difficult to determine when Amazon use Royal Mail and when Deutsche Post:  I had 2 orders delivered recently, both with a mix of Amazon and Starfish items, one came via Royal Mail and the other via Deutsche Post.

Not sure whether it was luck or design, but the Royal mail delivery was a small package of just 3 standard titles, whereas the Deutsche Post one had 4 titles including a box set (which would be the equivalent of 8 standard titles).

My hunch is that small parcels where they can use that wrap around cardboard are sent via Royal Mail and larger ones via Deutsche Post, but I don't know what the threshold in size would be.

I wish Amazon gave us a choice, like DVD Pacific do.

Deutsche takes longer, so it is bound to be cheaper.

Oh, and everything gets identified as "Sold by Amazon EU S.a.r.L." in emails, regardless of whether they are Amazon or Starfish sourced items.

Order posted on  the 1/06 got it today  this is by far the longest it has ever taken for a order from Amazon , seems to be getting worse lately.

Just to go against the grain - ordered 4 titles on the 16th and they all arrived today. Luck of the draw I guess.

why buy from the UK, wouldnt the exchange rate make it not worthwhile???? or does the UK have better selection of titles etc??

simple, the UK is the same region as Australia, but way cheaper

9 blu rays shipped to my door (eventually) for around $19.50 each this time. A LOT cheaper than locally.
