The specs look like they hit the mark AQ and PQ. You get 2 versions of the film and that cover looks stunning .UK Steelcase looking at it.

Apologies if already posted

mmmm well they've done with the Special Edition, The Director's Cut, The Ultimate Edition, the Unrated Edition, The Definitive Edition, The Ultimate Director's Cut - one would assume that the 'creative juices' have led to stones now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(added - did they need to 'add' this Sapphire Series to the spine ? - see Braveheart pics. I would have thought the Wino Series would have been a better title for the Mel films)

This will be a must have.
That battle seen at the start will sound awesome.

Intereting. So Paramount are essentially releasing the Universal pressing in the US. Looks like a cracker of a package and one i'll be getting. Great they have included both the theatrical and extended cuts on in this release.

The UK cover looks so much better IMO. One of my top 5 movies so a triple buy(already have 2 dvd versions) will be had by me for sure.

Definately a must buy!!! My fave film of all time.

Here's hoping that the cgi stands up to the scrutiny of 1080 resolution. It would be disappointing if the spectacular scenes (e.g. colisseum, tiger fight) look fake.

Presumably the UK version has DTS HD MA 5.1 audio?

That battle seen at the start will sound awesome.

Plus the many other battle scenes that were used as DVD audio reference material back in the day.

Swords clanging, tigers roaring...so many aural highlights in this one. Big expectations as the DVD was the best i'd heard.

ABANDONED SEQUENCES & DELETED SCENES
Rhino Fight (with optional commentary) (5 mins.)
...wtf!?!?

I think the Rhino fight is on disc 2 of the Aussie DVD release in the deleted scenes section, I could be wrong but I have seen it somewhere before. It was unfinished footage though.

Hakka.

I've never actually organised a GB before, is there anyone here that can take over organising this who may have done it before?
