pity there's nothing to buy in either the US or UK (damn their removing of the free shipping !!!!).   Oh well - time to get another gift cert in prep for the Black Friday sales 2012 :)

****  gee,....  we're only into the 2nd month of 2012 - and this forum and Blu stuff in general seems to have 'died' off.

Well...  given that this part of the forum has quietly 'died' - fewer posts, and fewer people - there is at least some good news - with the $A getting close to US$1.05 today.

Might be time to suggest some gift certs on Amazon.... gee...  how long is it to the Black Friday sales......    Black Friday in 2012 is on Friday, the 30th of November  ......   ecck..  a long time yet :)

and the $A peso is back up over $US1.05 again...... highest since Jan 2013...... might be time to consider some Amazon US gift vouchers........ for that usual BF 2013 sale spree !!

As I purchase most of my overseas Blurays from the UK, the exchange rate to the GBP is my main concern.
US dollar can go up or down makes no difference to me.

Yes the British pound keeps sinking down the gurgeler compared to major currencies worse than the Euro.

‘‘At the moment, the Aussie dollar is out of favour with the market,’’ said LTG Goldrock director Andrew Barnett. ‘‘It’s been a double whammy.’’

Mr Barnett said the Australian dollar had been hit because the local economy over the next two years won’t perform at its previous stellar levels and the market also was starting to believe the US economy was experiencing a genuine recovery.

‘‘You put those two things together, it doesn’t surprise me the Australian dollar is at 98.00 US cents and it won’t surprise me if it is at 93 cents between now and the end of July,’’ he said.

yep - just as I'm planning on heading to the USofA in 3 weeks time :( Given - there's not really much that I'd be buying there except far cheaper clothes.  Blu bargains at B&M stores are extremely limited these days.

We can blame Swannie for the poor economy and budget 'fantasy' !   "yes... in 10 yrs time we'll be building that road !!"

Or ... I could hold off until Sept - Vegas in July and August is just too hot.
