Hi Drizt,

They look............pretty darn cool i'd have to say.  I must confess to never having experienced actives yet but definately somthing i'd like to explore if i have a chance.   Just out of interest.......................did you consider any other active gear  (Aslan/Legend etc) or just really happy with SGR.  Best of luck with what is sure to be an agonising wait!!!

Cheers,

Drew

Im just extremely happy with SGR.  I have not heard any of Andrews (Aslan) active speakers but I have heard the Aslan Australs a number times.  I haven't heard the new Legend active speakers but would very much like to.  They are the first legend speakers that I like the look of.

I am actually in the dog house now.  I stayed up til 3am after being 'told off' at 2am to turn the bloody music off.  The Mrs was extremely tired this morning and gave me lots of evils...... think I'm going to have to make it up to her.

Definitely Drizt.  I'd say she deserves to be spoilt.

The "loaner" MT3a bases look dangerously comfortable in your room :D

Enjoy,

Ed

WOOHOO :)

Just got word from Stuart that my MT3FSL's are much closer to completion now.  They SHOULD be ready for me within a months time :)  VERY VERY EXCITED now.

Its been great having the ever capable MT3F's as my 'temporary' setup, but its going to be oh so much better to have my very own speakers take their rightful place at the heart of my HT / HIFI setup.

Its all coming together nicely timing wise.  Im getting a quote for some HT curtains very soon, and hopefully they can be installed before the speakers are delivered.

I also have Stuart writing up a quote for a 18 or 15 sealed passive sub (custom jobby) for my HT needs :)

EXCITING TIMES :)

exciting indeed mate.
Looking forward to reading up all about it and more importantly, having a listen.

As for sub, maybe a pair :)

passive should be cheap enough

Curtains, well around 4 weeks to make usualy so may all work out brilliantly

Subs, a pair, Maelstrom-X, sealed, im hearing you :P

But, think Ill do it in stages.  Money is being spread a bit thin at the moment with so many projects (not only AV related) on the go.

Once I get the quote back from Stuart ill work it out.

*blush*

The mattress has just been lifted to number 4 on the list.

1). MT3FSL's
2). HT curtains
3). Maelstrom-X sealed sub (passive + behringer pro amp)
4). New Matress (Jen adds: a great big fancy one)
5). save, save, save.... for next bit of AV gear... opps, I mean house related projects.

Thanks mate.  I have had the luxury of loaning a set of MT3F's so the patience hasn't been stretched too far.  That said, very much looking forward to swapping the loaners over for my very 'own' speakers :)

The loaner MT3F's went back last weekend.  Its pretty sad to them go ......

But this means that my MT3FSL's are on the home straight now.  I hear that the cabinets are almost put together and awaiting the finishing touches :)  Then its a matter of waiting for the new 3-way electronics to be finished, and bung in the back of the bass cabinets... :))))

Fingers crossed and everything else for that matter, that the guys and gals at SGR can have it all finished for our Christmas holidays :)

Exciting times, but now that its getting closer to being completed the need / want factor is growing exponentially.  *must bide my time*.

It is bad when you know they are so close.
The excitement builds and you just want them NOW.

You will be rewarded with great sound though mate, so yes hopefully they become a nice xmas pressie for you.
