Maybe the government needs to introduce a a DD5.1 quota and have a clause stating that it must be original 5.1, i.e. upmixing 2ch to 5.a won't count towards the quota?
Do you think the Government cares? Was talking to someone else last week and they mentioned how it was funny that prior to everyone having big screen TV's they put lot's in HD now very little is in native HD. Then people start buying HTIB's to get 5.1 sound and they stop doing that mostly. Is it some sort of con just to get people to consume and then they shut it off as too expensive or not worth the bother? No wonder people are watching less and less FTA.
