I can only go on what I'm told.... but they say the online will be reduced at the same time the sale starts.

As I said, I'll be going B&M to make sure I get the title and at the same price.

So will the titles that are on that scanned PDF be offered online? Coz at the moment theres not half of those titles online... I might as well make an online order as it'll be much easier than getting to my local ezydvd store early..

how does LEAVING LAS VEGAS go from 4.92 to 12.92  ????   (not that I'm after that !!)

Supply and demand I guess.

Hence why EZYDVD aren't selling for < $10. They know they pretty much have a monopoly on HD-DVDs in Australia since everyone else is sold out. So any 'reasonable' price will do and consumers will still pay up.

just spoke with EzyDVD B&M apparently they have instruction to start the sale on Wednesday.

You can also go into the store and as long as the purchase is over $100 you can reserve titles apparently.  Sale will be online as well for those that can't get out and about.

Although from what I've heard, they are bringing in extra stock to each store for the sale, so you would have to assume they will be able to deal with most of the demand unless you get the eBay scalpers in there first thing.

Are you saying that you could go in today and place an order to reserve copies if the order is over $100 or you still have to wait until Wednesday?

I can manage a couple from Ezy's new  sale. But I still have a 150+ USD order to make. Hoping the US discount soon so it's cheaper. Might have to drop a few titles.

After having gone through the list, there are only a couple of titles that are even remotely interesting that I don't already have.

No interest in doubling up, however with the uncertainty over redemptions, I might take the risk for a couple and if the redemptions come through sell or trade the surplus off......

In that case may as well order on line from Wednesday. No sense rushing to the shop when you want 1 or 2 titles...

Called a couple of Ezydvd shops too.  Different responses though.
- 1st shop stated that the titles will be onsale upon receiving stock, which is most likely this week.
- 2nd shop said 28-Mar is the day HD-DVDs go on sale.  She was quite adamant about it.  According to her, this is the case with all EzyDVD outlets!

Hope prices from overseas drop too.  Just looking at what’s available from dvdboxoffice (Canada based estore) and the prices are still quite steep.

NORBIT = 9.92

A MUST BUY FOR EVERY HD-DVD OWNER !!
Agree that some of the prices here aren't in the JB Hifi ballpark - I think that they may have a little trouble moving some of them even at these low prices - ie The Kingdom !!

ROTFLMFAO  !

someone would have to pay me to take Norbit off their hands  ...   : P

just because something is at a low price, doesnt mean ill buy it  ... i gotta like the movie enough to buy it ....

So I'm guessing the odds of titles such as "Batman Begins", or 300 being drastically reduced isn't so great now ?

Thanks for the list. I hope that I can get these titles online at some point, as being in New Zealand its not like I can just walk to an EzyDVD. One day stores in New Zealand will learn how to have sales that Australians get all the time rather than offering 15-20% off at most.

Just got back from Ezy dvd at Burwood Westfields (Sydney) and they are taking orders. The owner told me he ordered as many as he possibly can, so hopefully alot of people who have previously missed out can grab some.

Nothing mentioned about a minimum spend also. I paid on the spot and am told he should have them by Friday or next Monday.

btw, they have the exact same list as posted, apparently the blacktown list is the one being emailed to all franchises.

Store I spoke to (Garden City, Brisbane) said they aren't taking orders (as the job would be 'too big'), so it's first in best dressed. They were expecting the sale to start Friday or Saturday...

My EzyDVD is apparently waiting for word from head office so not word on a sale or possible pre-orders.

One EZY DVD store allowed me to put a few on hold (Pitt street), though the shelves were pretty barren when I did this.
Another one said that you were not allowed to do this, that they were franchised and that the sale would begin on March 28th with no exception.

Nothing like consistency is there!
