Really stupid decision by NSW gov to close non CBD stores in NSW.

The reason being to allow workers to enjoy their boxing day holiday, but in reality most of them would rather work and earn 2.5x OT rate!

Well, I suppose I can go to the CBD...
After putting up with all the customers in a rush for Xmas, in reality, they need another day off!
Whats another day closed going to hurt?

Are you sure about that ?

Do we really need to go shopping on Boxing Day ?

I know a few people in retail that are either happy that they don't have to work or envious of those that don't have to.

My wife works in hospitality, her place of work is only closed on Christmas day, she starts work at 7am Boxing Day and believe me she'd much rather be at home with her family.
Sorry I wasn't being specific. I was referring to casual retail workers who don't get paid for their annual leave, sick leave and other benefits full-time workers usually get.

I'm sure they'd welcome the 2.5x $$ to make up for these.

Being a full time worker myself there's no way I'd work on Boxing Day, even with penalty rates. Although 3x pay might tempt me :).

i stopped by kmart brunswick this morning on my way to work and managed to get motorstorm for my not-yet-purchased ps3. they had 1 copy of resistance but the chick 'couldnt find the disc anywhere' so i had to leave my name & number.

at least kmart are reliably useless.

the counter girl was trying to tell another customer that 'you can play ds games in your gameboy advance, but not the other way around'.

After much ringing around, I finally found a copy of RR7 at Kmart Northcote; the guy on the phone said "last one left" and kindly offered to hold it for me, but when I got there there were more copies on the shelf; I presume he meant "last sealed copy".

For those looking for these four games, Big W also has them discounted, though at $56 instead of $49. There was no sign of any selected PS3 games at 25% off" that was mentioned in the Big W catalogue; my search for Orange Box at a reasonable price continues ;)

Can anyone recommend a decent wheel for the PS3 that's around $100-$150?  I'm thinking about buying F1, but I don't want to play it on the controller.  I'm not really interested in forking out for the G25 as it's probably not going to get that much use (like my Xbox 360 Wireless wheel which I only use for Forza 2).

Dont like the feel of this game. Its like the car is on a stick and when you turn it moves the stick, or the background moves but the foreground stays the same.

Not the best game and I always liked RR series.

That's pretty much Ridge Racer, though, at least it's the way I remember it from the last time I played a game in the series (on the PS1!)

RR7 is beautifully done IMHO. And a very slick piece of game presentation work as well.

And if there isn't a copy on the shelf ask them to look out the back as I thought I had grabbed the last copy of Motorstorm, but when I handed it in to get the disc, the sales assistant went out the back and grabbed me a sealed copy.

There will be a catalogue starting next Thursday that will have these games at the same price until the end of Jan basically.
So if you miss out now, don't worry, more stock will be arriving at the same price.

Went to Kmart Altona yesterday - they hadn't even bothered to update their price stickers (some of which were obviously VERY old). Made working out how much games cost a nightmare - pick the item up, take them to the scanner, etc. At least it was better than Myer in the CBD, who had no prices on anything. Seriously, the people that run these shops have no idea how to sell things: how can I buy something if I don't know how much it costs?

They (Kmart) had heaps of copies of Motostorm, none of Resistence, didn't take note of the other two.

These were some of the first games available for the PS3, this is the price they should be now anyway, imo.

picked up a copy of motorstorm on the 28th at Eb games for $49. I went to k-mart but they were out of stock of ALL(!) the $49 ps3 games so i went to eb with the kmart catalogue and they happily price matched. They had all games in stock except COD4. Surprise surprise.

Same here. Couldn't find Resistance anywhere at K Mart so got EB to price match no questions asked.

Mate, you probably should start a new thread if you wanted more help. FWIW, in Sydney I've found JB and EB Games pretty good, but a lot of them are closer to the $15 mark rather than under $10. Best to check out JB where there is also an EB within shouting distance.

I've found the best bet is to wait for a big toy sale at places like BigW, they have tonnes of titles for around $10 or heaps of two for $25.

Begs the question why you dug up an old thread here but try ebay.  Best source if you ask me.  just make sure you exclude all the buggers selling junk.
