just set myself up a jb hifi account only to find out i can't use money orders. jb has the best prices for the anime's i'm after. can anyone list some stores that sell anime, use money order option and sell Pal versions. i'm mainly interested in box sets.

!

Well paranoia is the word alright. But you're prepared to let the store send it to your address?

If that means you miss out buying what you want then well so be it.

If you're worried about your credit card details being stolen - don't. The banks are well and truly on the consumer's side when it comes to fraudulent transactions and it's as simple as contacting them and requesting a chargeback.

If you just set up an account online, then you can't be too paranoid, I'm sure you would have had to put some personal details into that.  A debit card is limited to the mount of money you put in it, it doesn't have acredit limit as such.

I was reading about pre-paid visa vouchers that have just been released. Apparently you can buy them at Mobil and Quix servos like pre-paid phone recharge vouchers at values up to $1000. There's an article about it in the Sydney Morning Herald here. Since you're using it like a Visa card you shouldn't have any problems using it at on-line stores and as the voucher is essentially disposable, it doesn't risk your credit details. Maybe worth following up as I can't really see any alternatives available.

Husband's money, his card number, his rules, it's only fair. might go ring the bank, see what they have in prepaid.   good. it has a card, costs $4.95 and i can load it with up to $800. thankyou.

Just about anyone can get a Visa Debit card. I've had one for years despite being at one stage bankrupt (long story won't bore you  ). I use it overseas at any ATM, book motel rooms via Wotif, pay my QuickFlix account. The card hangs off my main account at Suncorp. I have a sub account that my pay goes into so even if someone were able to 'milk' my account they wouldn't get much as I just top up the Debit account via internet banking. Wouldn't be without it.

Strange rules...

For $4.95 that's probably a lot cheaper than a couple of money orders... and a damn sight easier than a money order.

You can buy direct from Madman and I'm pretty sure they except money orders.

it's funny really. i grew up watching kimba, prince planet, (my very first crush, i think i was 5 ) and gigantor. hated astro boy. then in the '80's robo tech and sailor moon for the kids. we have quite a lot of anime here and our wishlist is a mile long, full metal panic is next, fumoffu was hilarious. , and slowly my daughter is converting her high school grade, they swap their anime And manga, you have not lived till you have taken a bunch of 15 yo teens into an anime store.,(groan) did you know that some of them even went to the last convention?
