e.g. Kmart (maybe BigW) I think had the PS3 for $698 or $599 if you bought some particular game ($99) making a total of $698...

1. You bought 16 used games for the price of 8
2. You traded them for 4 Xbox 360 GH3 bundles (whatever that is - 4 games for each I assume).
3. Then those 4 translate to a trade in of $169.90 each for a total of $679.60
4. +$20 makes 699...
5. ???
6. Profit?
Can you trade in more than one thing on a single purchase?

More importantly which store? All the ones down my way (gold coast) have turned into pricks about the deal.

So I put all the games towards 4 x GH3 bundles ( 4 per GH3 Bundle ). So today they go back and I say that I didnt want them (The store knows im doing this). I get the full credit of $169.90 back on each one. Add my $20 and I've got myself a PS3
The good thing is its perfectly legal. I was going to buy the games from one store and take to another, but my EB said stuff that buy them from us and we will trade them straight away.
Ive done this with heaps of stuff since the buy 2 get 1 free deal has happened.
I got:
2 x COD4
1 x GH3 Bundle
2 x Assassins Creed Collectors
4 x Mass Effect ( Picking up today )
1 x Time Shift
1 x Sega Rally
2 x Pro Street
4 x Kane & Lynch
Wasnt too much into Time Shift and Sega Rally sucked, so i got full money back as a credit which i moved the stuff to Haze and Uncharted
Will be taking 2 of the Mass Effects back and getting Ace Combat 6 and Blacksite on the 360
Games that i get multiple copies of I leave sealed.

Looks like there are 2 GAME stores in the Cairns area - perhaps give them a try - they had initiated the $299 trade deal against the PS2 and 10 games but not sure if it is still running - there, or anywhere else for that matter! Here's the store listing: http://www.game.com.au/stores
Cheers,
Dr.

I took up this deal with game in melbourne this friday called there national call centre and they said the deal is still on but will end this month. I traded my old PS2 plus 10 games and memory card and only have to pay $269 for new 40gig PS3. Have wait for new stock to arrive this week :-(
There is an exclusion list of games they will not accept from mine they would not accept Gran turismo 3 and 4 as these are too popular, also halo is on the exclusion list.
I'm wrapped with the deal some of the titles they accepted where every lame, like outlaw golf 2 and Kelly Salter Pro surf.

My friend came back with one and it cost approx AUD$480 - $580 for the 60GB one (depends where you go and how well you bargain). Most are imports from Japan.
Just be careful though, as warranty is non-existence.

That last bit makes me worry a little as how do you prove it's not lost if they say it is.
