I think it will be a good idea to have a topic with all the best prices available on current LCD and Plasma Televisions. Here everyone can keep track of all the latest and best prices people have managed to get on their new HDTV and will help future buyers with getting a good deal. The prices that will be listed here will not contain any GB prices and will only contain prices people have managed to achieve when purchasing there new HDTV. I will keep this first post updated and add more HDTV’s to the list and update the prices with the best deal possible achieved by DTVForum members, everyone is welcome to post what HDTV they have recently bought and what price they managed to get it for and what franchise they got it from e.g. NH, BingLee, JB Hi-Fi etc.

HDTV prices - wiki

LC46PD7X - $2800 (BingLee)

Geez that is CHEAP for the quality Sharp 1080p, sure it's not 100hz but sure looks nice.

Anyone know if JB HiFi would go that cheap or cheaper with this model?

Great idea, just a thought maybe the price should be split into Tv + Warranty.

Also if posters could just quote the model price they got only instead of the whole list it will stop the thread getting huge :)

Mate - they would not give me a price - said shop around & come back here last - as there's was listed at $3799 - I would be very surprised !
Bing Lee were great by the way - dealt with Brent & Jason.

Well, the XMAS sales have already started today with both Myer and DJ's offering 10% off Plasma's\LCD's\Electrical, might not sound like much - but if you are buying a LX series 60" Pioneer at RRP $11999 thats $1199.90 off automatically :)

Prices are dropping largely because of the strong Aussie dollar. For example I just picked up a Samsung LA32R81BD for $1165 in Melbourne with only a moderate amount of effort. Early October $1600 was a great price. Good time to snap up a bargain!

This should be done in a WIKI. In a thread like this it is a nightmare

Are you sure about that? That's $1000 of RRP and only a few hundred more than the Lo-HD TVs.

Yup, got the paper in front of me right now... great price and it still lists 'less for cash'.

Here's a poor quality picture from my Phone:

what a great thread, this is a wonderful idea and I think it'lll ultimately ensure there are less posts that just repeat the same pricing info, over & over.
Well done ThePump

I got the Sony Bravia KDL40X3100 for $3250 at the GG Joondalup.... offered extra 1yr warranty for $140, down from the ticket price of $3799,  that was two weeks ago so I think you should be able get even cheaper now........ does anyone know if its advertised anywhere cheaper than this in Perth? GG offer a 30 day guarantee on the price..... got to keep them honest(lol).

cheers
