welcome to the forum :)

ok a curly one for you straight off.

I previously took up the 2 free weeks (I think) trial offered through the website, but was dissapointed to only receive one High Def movie and the rest normal DVDs, even though I pretty much filled my queue with HD DVD/BD.

Anyhow, I have recently purchased a new HD DVD player, and there was a coupon for a months free trial of Quickflix.

I'd love to have another go and see if things have improved in the HDM stakes.

Is this possible (ie can I redeem the coupon) ?

hi just got a ps3 and interested in quickflix as the rental selection is quite large compared to what you can buy

anyway I was wondering if there are any plans for Game rentals.

over at www.movieguys.com.au they offer alot of blu rays but also PS3 games.

Now I find quickflix range of stock alot larger and would gladly join you but like the idea of getting ps3 games as well to hire rather than buy em for 130 bux a game.

ok i have ask my manager about this question

and what he told me is that this is no longevity in games as for movies, movies last a life time and a game doesn't hold up sorry about that

well i think personally no as the only reason is that the credit card you used for your free trail will be on record and the email address but if you have another credit card and a different email address

i hope this helps

you could try the customer support on 1300 138 644

is what happens

so say you have spider-man spider-man 2 and spider-man 3 for example you watch spider 1 and 2 you send them back and we will send the next available dvd in your Queue and if you use the

Returned feature

Receive your next DVD quicker

You can let us know you have returned a DVD by checking the Returned box that is displayed next to the title in your DVDs sent to you list. By ticking the box and letting us know that you've returned a title we won't wait for your DVD to arrive before we send your next available title.

Please note this facility is designed to allow you to tell us the disc is on its way back to us, so the box should only be checked once the disc is back in the post, and make sure your Queue is topped up.

If we identify you as someone that is abusing this privilege, the Returned functionality will be disabled on your account.

thats from the website should explain more

My main question about about when we're going to see a better range of BluRay titles. Being that I signed up to get as much BluRay as possible I'm a little disappointed by the range.

Hi pud, have been subscribing for about 4 months and think QuickFlix is the bees knees. I always use the 'notify return' button to get my next DVDs quicker, and try never to abuse the priviledge, often doing a quick bike ride round to the 5pm post box which happens to be next to Liquorland

However due to a medical thing I actually posted a disc 2 days after notifying, which I actually feel guilty about. Does QF computer system check on this and 'grade' customers as A B C D according to reliability or are they a bit flexible?

Cheers

Thanks you for using Quickflix the notify return is a great feature of Quickflix i believe that you should be right Quickflix is a bit flexible as mail does take some time to get in to the office, as long as you don't receive a email from Quickflix saying anything about the abuse of Notify return you should be sweet and i hope you like our service of Quickflix

I just got a 14 day trial (??). How come its only 2 weeks when it seems a 1 month is the norm?

I joined over a week ago  (17th Nov) and filled my list with nearly 30 HD-DVDs and BDs.  As yet I haven't received anything and my rental history shows nothing. So I assume since the rental history is filled as Quickflix send out discs that nothing has been sent.  Is that correct?

Since my 14 day trial ends soon I'm thinking I not going to receive anything at all.  If I don'r receive anything can I get another free trial?

Damn, wish I'd found this post on the weekend. Could have got a 1month free trial instead of 2 weeks.

Seems like it could be pretty good, so long as you don't specifically care when you watch certain movies. Fingers crossed a copy of digital video essentials comes my way before the trial period is over, that's the only title I really wanted.

Puddness, is the order of your queue taken into account or are the dvds just sent out whenever the next one is available, from any position in your queue? What's the best way to ensure that you get the one particular dvd you want asap?

the best way to get the dvd you want the quickest is to place it at # 1 in your queue as that will insure that 1st priority goes to that dvd, then if that dvd is not available # 2 then so on... i hope you get " digital video essentials " in time before your 2 week trial

While in the Queue, is there any way to select a movie and bump it up to number 1 in one step without having to do it nudge it up through the entire list?

This is a big time waster and pain to do it this way.

EDIT: I worked it out, another one of those RTFM moments

cheers :)

No worries thats good that you found that out, :D
for the others out their what you do is click on the movie in the check box and the number next to the movie title change it to like number #1 then click on update queue and the page will reload and you will have the movie in the number#1 slot

i hope this helped out if not tell me and i will repost something more easier

Hi Pud, I have put in a couple of requests for the popular British TV show of the 90s "Goodnight Sweetheart" about the guy who discovers a time portal into the 1940s and ends up married to a woman back then and a woman in the 90s..... great show. Not stocked yet. Has been available on DVD for about 6 months now and is quite a big series so probably runs to about ten discs.

I realise of course that Quickflix has a purchasing plan / budget / stock control system etc etc. Question is, when popular TV series become available do Quickflix get onto it fairly quickly or do they wait for customer requests? If the latter, I'll get a petition up for Goodnight Sweetheart    Can't wait

Regards

Michael
