hi all noticed this rather excellent post on avs detaillign the audio and video specs of various blu-ray titles.

wonder if this is kept upto date by the OP ?

anyone got a link to similar for hd dvd titles ?

Good find Al; Ide say the op has done a good job considering the first date posted and the silver surfer movie mentioned. I had a grin when you notice the large volume of 16/48 pcm discs and on the other hand 20/24 bit discs -which have benefited from dts hd or dd truehd compression.

Something tells me this poster has read bfdtv's comments on why pcm should be shafted. Have never found a hd dvd list - this would be good too. High percentage of DD plus methinks -nothing wrong with that but

interesting thing re this post on avs, is it correct chronicles of riddick and aeon flux have dts-hd secondary tracks. dont recall them havign to be honest.

It doesn't (for Riddick anyway)

It has DD+ and DTS.

DTS can be called DTS-HD, as it is listed as a subset of DTS-HD... Probably due to its ability to do up to 24bit audio (I believe DD was modified also to do 24bit too... I recall something in the Insiders thread from Dolby on this)

It certainly can MWE; Ime still trying to find a 24/96 dts disc- this decoding was introduced at least 3 years ago If the list poster had said dts hdhr ;he would have been wrong - different bit rates at good old dts.com -

Thanks muchly Andrew ;Turns out I bought the wrong Master and Commander dvd - the english version was the right one At least there are 10 available - interesting to compare with the equivalent hd disc

Hi new to the forum unable to post a new topic so thought someone here may be able to help.Bought a new 106cm sanyo led tv for my mother who has very bad hearing  wears radio shack cordless headphones so she does not deafen us when we are watching the tv with her the old tv had an output to plug into. but on the new tv there is a headphone jack the problem is when you plug into this it cuts the sound out so she is the only one that can hear the tv.I have been to dick smith and JB HI FI to find a solution no one could help.Below is the specs of the TV
