brilliant stuff was listening to the title track only yesterday. its time less music in my opinion. lovely stuff. and specifically the put a lot of effort in to master for sacd to get the very best from the format. so probably one of the best examples of whats capable from the format

Although their first 3 albums have an edge,, and are my favourites..

"This Twilight Garden" B-side to "High"
"Play" B-side to "High" 12"single

Really enjoying this one, I would suggest giving it a listen if you enjoyed Mumford & Sons

Massive Janes Addiction fan... but for some reason, from the few songs of heard Eric's solo stuff just doesn't do it for me

That’s fair enough. I can understand why this album got such diverse reviews. It’s unusual, somewhat eclectic, and Eric doesn’t have a good voice. In fact at times he is barely keeping in key! But for some reason put all together it just really works for me….
I’ve come to the conclusion that Eric was a massive songwriting force in the early JA albums. That’s why Strays was only OK imho…because it lacked Eric. That said I’m pretty excited about the new album (out in about 2 weeks!) Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio) has played bass on most of it and been involved in the writing, and the 3 songs that I have heard form the album sound brilliant. As distinctly opposed to the new chilli peppers snore fest album; JA look to have evolved and gone outside of the safety zone. If you haven’t already check out Irresistible Force on the JA website…..
Chillis should have never brought that album out IMHO…..it is embaressing.

Due to a traffic accident this morning the freeway into Melbourne was an absolute disaster so I took the executive decision to work from home. Working while listening to music, sourced from those black round thingys, on your own system certainly beats sitting in an office!
Ahh, well, back to the grind!

Must listen more to DSOTM.. For some reason I just can't get into it... :/
Then I tried to invert the phase... And wow, I should have tried this a long time ago
Can folks with a player capable of inverting the phase try to invert the phase for 2.0 SACD layer and see which is better? Normal or inverted? Before the trolls set in, bear in mind this really is a YMMV thing...
If like me you never liked DSOTM SACD before (am I the only one?), try inverting the phase and see how it goes. Remember YMMV, this is actually the first non-asian CD I have that seems to sound better with the phase inverted.

Dream With Me - Jackie Evancho...
TBH her voice gets a bit irritating for me after a while, but she is just 11... And given the age, she really have a pretty good voice... According to Soundhound she has a Soprano voice..
The tracks I like are duets - with Susan Boyle, Barbra Streisand..
Hopefully when she gets older she can get a voice like them... And hopefully she will not end up like other child stars..
