Well, Mo to the rescue.  Yodaboy01 is indeed correct.

This Fox/MGM title is region locked to all hell.

While Sony elected to make Casino Royale region free, Fox has other ideas (maybe because we got it earlier, but more likely cause Fox are bastards).  I wonder why Casino Royale was a Sony release given MGM have made all Bond films and they are partnered with Fox.....?

No probs at all.  I see you retested so all is good.  I thought it odd you had reported a conflicting response as I gathered your BD30 currently wasn't moded so I tested it on mine too.  Used good old Prince Caspian to ensure I was region A.

Sony & MGM had a brief "romance" back in 05/06 & this is about when Casino Royale was started, so it was a joint venture with Sony having distribution rights.

Don't know if these have been mentioned:

Taken region B Aus is locked
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me  region B Aus is locked (New Line under Roadshow)
Dumb & Dumber region B Aus is locked (New Line under Roadshow)

So the thing to watch out for with Roadshow releases is that the Warner partnership movies (like The Matrix) are unlocked I guess because they use the same Warner disc master.

About Twilight, I have tested the Canadian version and its LOCKED with just a region A logo on it. Works on my HK PS3 but not my friends Aussie one.

Also, does anyone know if the new Bond releases are locked? I seem to remember someone mentioned the first wave (Dr No, From Russia With Love etc) were not locked.

Arf, you have the US version or canadian version ? because i had confirmation that the Canadian version is locked ... but it's weird, if http://bluray.liesinc.net/ put it region free, big mistake ...

I actully bought it from dvdworldusa when they had it listed as multiregion.now they have changed it to region locked.and yes, it's the US version.
now i wonder if I'll get my money back,since when I bought it THEY where the ones that had it listed as region free,in fact,on the shippment e-mail it said, item posted seven pounds(multi-region).
