Wow, no High-Def track, is Disney pulling a WB here?
Standard DD would be such a shame, man, don't know what to say...

Cheers anyways

I don't believe the no hi-def track rumour though....I'd guess it's TrueHD and some idiot can't read the packaging properly, lol.

No, but for Warner, Universal and Paramount for example, don't worry, in all cases, for now ^^, it's region free (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

But for example, Weinstein Co. don't put any region information, and some of their titles are locked (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Thanks for that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's pretty dodgy if they don't put any info on there, but it's still region locked. They should be required to list it imo.

Just tried the Aussie 3:10 to Yuma and it played fine on my LG BH200 set to Region A.
On the cover it only has the region B logo.
Tried Aussie MAster and Commander to make sure and it showed the screen saying that the disc can only be played in Region B machines.

So, even though the UK one is listed as Region locked, perhaps ours isn't?

Also Aussie Vantage Point is region free (I don't think that's on the list as yet).

Cheers.

Hi mjn87

I wouldn't trust a cover for that information. In fact, given the recent Baraka incident I am going to wait a few weeks after EVERY release from now on before buying anything!

Cheers

Yeah, I'm not sure how many times I have to say "only if you've tested the disc, cover have been wrong in the past". I appreciate the help, but I can't post a title unless it has been tested.

Just received my copy of Baraka from CDWow.

Interestingly it is a UK Region B locked (confirmed) title.

Also it came in a standard US style blu-ray case (not
the thicker UK case)

Yes it is, i own the local release & it plays without trouble in my US PS3 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

On another topic i just went to check out this weeks Universal back catalogue releases & was surprised to see 3 titles that had regions listed on them!

Now i know that covers mean jack squat, but seeing how Universal thus far haven't added any region details, ala Paramount & Warner, i just thought it was odd.

The titles in question were T2 with region B on the rear cover, The fog & Total Recall with Region A AND B!!

Also does anyone know of the region status of the recently released Roadshow titles, Get Smart, Oceans 11, 12 & 13, The Mist, Training Day, Swordfish, March of the Penguins & 1408?? All are cover listed as B.

I know the region B list is waaaaayyyyyyy out of date, but for those still playing at home:

I have just personally tested the UK Region B Masters of Cinema release of Mad Detective and it is Region Free.

Hello,

I saw on the back cover the symbol A only for Wall-E (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Can anyone confirm this one is region locked (like Sleeping Beauty) ?

Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
