It does need the PCR set= V-pid, otherwise you'll have lip sync problems.
V-PID = 1121
A-PID = 1122
PCR = 1121
V-PID = 1121
A-PID = 1122
PCR = 1121

GWN and WIN via Aurora are administered/activated by Optus themselves. You can apply to have these activated if you're travelling through or live in parts of WA that lack a terrestrial antenna, or live in parts of WA that has poor terrestrial reception. The latter involves a specialist visit by an antenna installer to confirm the poor reception. As for complete lack of reception, Optus will activate it, no questions asked. For travellers; applying via the Optus Aurora News website is the only way to do it.
Imparja and Southern Cross Central (formerly 7 Central) independantly activate their services. They follow the same rules as the WA commercial channels, and also offer travellers the option;
* Southern Cross Central Activation Form (must state you're travelling in the 'Notes' field)
* Imparja Authorisation Form for Travellers (PDF)
The only way it is possible to be watching GWN, WIN, Imparja or SC Central outside of their licensed areas is if the smartcard is still activated for a traveller. After all that, if you can't activate the commercial channels, then you're left with these;
TVSN, Expo, Indigenous Community TV (ICTV), Aurora Info/Tune Channel, Foxtel Help, iEPG Video Satellite, ABC WA, ABC NT, ABC SA, ABC SE, ABC Q, SBS WA, SBS SE, SBS NT, SBS QLD, SBS SA, plus a couple of movie channels.

Might be thinking of 'WLK', Westlink WA which shows Access 31 Perth. On weekend nights, Fra Sat and Sun I recall this shows movies a la TCM genre, sometimes newer, in fact some gopod old TV shgows here that are similar to ABC overnight movies.

G'day,
Radio channels on Aurora hey?
I dont suppose that NIRS is one of them. I've been interested in how Community stations around the country connect to the NIRS for AFL action, they must have an Aurora dish on their roof.
This must be expensive for the station

does anyone know what happend to the Imparja feed on D1?
I've got a legit Aurora system, but pointed it to D1 to get the feeds every now and again, but for some reason the hidden Imparja feed has gone a few days ago.

D1 is a feed service, not the regular service. People wanting dedicated coverage should use Aurora platform.
Try:-
Freq: 12643, H, SR 6875
Vpid 1024 APid1025 PCR1024

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think NIRS was renamed? CAAMA Radio (Central Australian Aboriginal Media Assoc) has an Aurora channel, but it's encrypted for me. I think Arrow is another indigenous channel but that too is under lock and key.
NIRS is still NIRS. Arrow is commercial radio for shops. Newsagents IIRC.

Not that easy anymore unfortunately.
Imparja want a $55 unlocking fee, which you will need to pay each time you cross into the NT.
You can either get Imparja/7Central or WIN/GWN, but not both at the same time.
