Hi,

I have a Pana 100a coupled with a TEAC 200 STB, the display seems to be cutoff on the left side eg. when looking at the station logo, the whole logo is not visible. I have the STB set to 16:9 aspect and the TV is set to 16:9 also.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Do a search on the old forum. You will find instructions on how to get into the service mode on a 10A and this will probably get you in to the 100A.
This allows you to agjust the geometry including the overscan. I sure got my set looking a lot better using this, but write down any settings before you adjust them. Also there seems to be 2 sets of geometry, one for SD and one for 1080i input, so check what is comming in.
Shame the ABC isn't showing the test pattern any more.

Best of luck,
Dik

OK,
I've done the work for you.....--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the code:
1. Set the Bass to maximum and the treble to minimum
2. Press the "F" button on the television (the volume display must be on while performing step 3)
3. Simultaneously press the Volume down button on the television and the Index button on the remote control.

In mode:
1. To move up through the functions use the remote control GREEN button
2. To move down through the functions press the remote control RED button
3. To INCREASE the value use the remote control BLUE button or the remote control VOLUME UP (+) button
4. To DECREASE the value use the remote control YELLOW button or the remote control VOLUME DOWN (-) button
5. Press the "STR" button on the remote control or TV to store the settings.
6. Turn the set off to exit the service mode.

Thanks, DIK

I had a look through the archived forum and found the posting, but thanks for going to the trouble of finding it for me as well.

I followed the instructions, carefully wrote down the existing settings and changed the overscan.

What a difference, I was always impressed with how the digital signal looked but now it appears several degrees sharper and I have gained about 2 inches of "lost" picture from both the top bottom and sides.

Cheers,

Tommyboy
