Can anybody tell what I can expect to pay for the KVDA32M36 at the big stores? The local (small town) suppliers are totally stupid (>$2400) with their prices. I can get it directly from Sony for $1800 delivered.
Also, which would you choose: Sony KVDA32M36 or Toshiba 32JW8UA ?
Thanks!

Yep...Harvey Norman in Osborne Park gave me that price and that included 2 years interest free terms too. For cash they were willing to do it for $1249

So it would depend on how much HD marterial you want to watch I guess. You should definatly check out the Toshy or hunt down a Sony KVHR32M31.

Erm ... the Sony website seems to state that the KVDA32M36 is a full HD set, unless there is some fine print I'm missing. Also, the KVHR32M31 is no longer manufactured, so I don't think I would not want to buy it. I was under the impression that the KVDA32M36 was the replacement for the KVHR32M31...

Its not a HD set, its HD ready which means it will take a HD signal and downconvert it to 576P. The tube is not a super fine pitch tube which the KVHR is.
It is the ugly cousin of the KHVR and is nowhere near as good. Do yourself a favour and ring around some stores to see if you can get the KVHR. I just got one on saturday so they still exist for sale.

Sony have brought in there new line of Bravia LCD screens so the CRT is out and I would also imagine the KVDA's days are numbered too.

But i think i bought THE very last KVHR32M31 in Perth just last week
Good luck in finding one.
I've had a look at the Toshi the other day, and the PQ looked pretty darn good to me, so if I can't find a Sony I'd be happy with that!
