heya,

just had a shipment of the new VisionPlus DVB-T cards come in.. expect them to fly out the door quite fast

Unfortunately they're not the half height cards, but otherwise they're the normal VP with remote and support SD as well as HDTV.

cheers,

Gizmomelb

Now with news of BDA drivers being touted by TwinHan and alignment of SDK to the present player/record software the positioning of the VP makes it a clear winner. Perhaps Nebula as well .........but the downside NO open architecture for others to write front ends.

IMHO....... when any hardware / software developer attempts to create a locked down standard without opening those standards up freely the acceptance factor and popularity of this approach has a hsitory of high failure rate WITHIN two years.

Such an interest by others, in distributing VP cards is encouraging. If that trend continues ... we should see the popularity of this card generate enough user base of one brand to guarantee more and more Aussie written clever software.

Couple this to an already compatible brand by ChainTech and it becomes doubling effect.

And I may add great pressure is on MS to open there Media Cneter Software.
