I thought I'd give this program a try. I have been using DigitalWatch and DigitalWatch2 with my VStream card in the past and have been still looking out for freeware TV viewers.
ProgDVB works quite well and full scanning for channels is quite fast. It has picked up all the channels in Sydney for me, including channel 44 and the ABC Jazz radio channel etc.
Also, the picture appears quite stable (minimal jitter) as compared with DW1 and DW2. Although I can't compare exactly because I am using the Elecard decoder (default) for ProgDVB and haven't got this to work in DW1 or DW2 (used Intervideo and Cyberlink decoders).
With both DW1 and DW2, I had lipsync problems. I found the best solution for this is to use the same make video and audio decoder ie. use Cyberlink for both or Intervideo for both. ProgDVB with default settings does not have lipsync problems.
It also supports AC3, but I have yet to try this (need to install and configure correct decoders). There is also support for DirectX9 VMR (renderless), which works without any issues.
Navigation using the mouse is a must for my system. This is why I prefer to use ProgDVB rather than DW2, which in it's current version does not support this. The main problem with DW1 is that it isn't very stable.
Another plus for ProgDVB is that there are quite regular minor releases. So bug fixing for the product is done fairly quickly.
